Day One

Greetings and a good day (evening? morning when you read this?) to all. I am Crystal Amaquelin of Attilan. It’s all right if you haven’t heard of Attilan; in fact, I would be very surprised if you did have knowledge of my small island home. I look forward to meeting everyone here and being able to learn from all of your experiences.

You may be wondering about my powers. As a matter of fact, so am I. Up until one week ago, I thought my power was control over wind and air. While that remains true, I have recently discovered another aspect to my power: water. I’ve been told this still has to do with air and the atmosphere.

Well, I do know your family's kind of in charge of the place, at least nominally, unless Amaquelin is a lot more common a name than I think it is. One of these days I really need to get around to reading the geography section of the library, but I haven't been that bored yet.

And hey there, I'm Clark Kent, an orphan sent to Earth as the last son of a doomed planet, raised in Kansas by kindly farmers who found my crashed spaceship. Earth's yellow sun gives me strange and awesome powers which I use for the good of mankind.

Point of note: Amaquelin is a combination of my parents' first names. Therefore, the king and queen, who are my aunt and uncle, do not have the last name of Amaquelin. I am a member of the royal family, not a probable heir to the title to the title of queen.
