Day One

Greetings and a good day (evening? morning when you read this?) to all. I am Crystal Amaquelin of Attilan. It’s all right if you haven’t heard of Attilan; in fact, I would be very surprised if you did have knowledge of my small island home. I look forward to meeting everyone here and being able to learn from all of your experiences.

You may be wondering about my powers. As a matter of fact, so am I. Up until one week ago, I thought my power was control over wind and air. While that remains true, I have recently discovered another aspect to my power: water. I’ve been told this still has to do with air and the atmosphere.

Hello Crystal. Normally I'd be more hospitable, but my friend had an....accident, so I'm only out of the medlab for food and to get stuff from his room. I'm sure we'll meet propperly soon.

He should. Between me and the two resident medical geniuses, we figured out how he got injured, now it's just up to him to get better. Right now he kind of looks like one of my attempts at kitchen-fu.

He's feeling a bit better. He demanded to know why I wasn't wearing the shirt. I told him I was waiting until his eyelids grew back.

Can't talk about the medical stuff, but the doctors here know probably more about the mutant condition than anyone else on the planet. If you're looking to learn more about what you can do and how to control it, you couldn't find a better place.

The mutant... condition. I have to say, if that was a statement issued by a non-mutant, I believe I would take offense. However, as I am assuming that you are either a student or were a student and are therefore a mutant, I am quite puzzled by your statement.

You kind of never stop being a student here. But yes, I'm a mutant - so's everyone in residence here except Dr. MacTaggart.

And yeah, all aspects of mutant genetics, biology, sociology, integration, and advancement - you'll find experts here. Best in the world.

I am extremely interested in biology and genetics, especially in regards to mutation. I have studied genetics extensively but would love to learn more about it in regards to the genetics of mutants.
